Fundraise
Raise a little, help a lot
From bake sales and quiz nights to sponsored walks and workplace fundraisers, there are loads of ways to raise money for Hastings Voluntary Action and support communities across Hastings & St Leonards.
How our work helps Hastings
-

-
More connected communities
Bringing people together through volunteering, partnerships and local support networks.
-
Practical support where it's needed
Helping tackle inequality, isolation and hardship across Hastings & St Leonards.
How to fundraise
-
Step 1
Come up with a fundraising idea that you will enjoy, plus a fundraising target. Is it a solo fundraising project, or is it part of an existing event, such as the Hastings Half Marathon?
-
Step 2
If you are doing your own event/activity then decide when and where!
-
Step 3
Find others to help you if needed. HVA can share your idea with our networks to see if there are other people who want to help you.
-
Step 4
Once you have your idea, date, time and place decided, then think about how you want to fundraise. Collection buckets? An online sponsorship page? Paper sponsorship forms? A bit of everything?
-
Step 5
Promote! Share your fundraiser as wide as possible. HVA can help.
-
Step 6
The big day! Keep sharing details of what you’re doing and how it’s going. Often people get lots of extra donations on the actual day of their fundraiser, so keep the momentum going.
-
Step 7
Thank you! The funds you raise will help HVA continue to do even more to help our local community.
