Links Project

Our role in the project

The Links Project is a partnership hosted within the local voluntary and community sector in Hastings. It works closely with other refugee and migrant support groups, employability schemes, health and social care services, and community hubs that provide English lessons, social support and signposting across East Sussex.

We provide access to support and advice on:

  • Asylum support (NASS)
  • The EU Settled Status scheme
  • Support for people in East Sussex on the Homes for Ukraine scheme
  • Accessing healthcare
  • General immigration advice
  • Housing and welfare benefits

Who we’re working with

The Links Project works in partnership with a range of local voluntary and community organisations, statutory services and community hubs across East Sussex. Together, these partners help people access specialist advice, health and wellbeing support, learning opportunities and community activities.

Our approach

The Links Project uses a collaborative, person-centred approach, bringing several organisations together to provide joined-up support in a single, welcoming space. Alongside individual casework, we use activities such as English classes, gardening and sewing to help people build confidence, routines and social networks. This community-building approach aims to reduce isolation, support local integration in Hastings and East Sussex, and develop practical skills that can support future education, volunteering or work.
